Hi I'm Meagen!

I'm an LA native from the 818 living between the 10 and the 405 in the 310.

For the last 18 years, I've been working in Post-Production as a Head of

Production and Producer for commercials, music videos, short films and features. 

For 5 of those years, I lived and worked in NYC, where I curated a love of pizza,

bourbon, and the acoustics of saxophonists playing jazz under park bridges in winter.

 

Prior to my life in post, I attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where I earned my BS in Nutrition Science with a concentration in Biochemistry and a minor in Psychology. Outside of the lab, I DJ'd for the college radio station KCPR  91.3 FM (#keepittotheleft) where I once hosted a show on the history and discography of Ben Folds Five. After realizing that my passion was more in music and media, I traded in my lab coat and googles for the bright lights (late nights) of entertainment. I landed an internship in Publicity at Warner Brothers Records, and from there found my way into post-production by answering phones and fetching coffee (how else does anyone do it?). Within the year, I was producing, and the rest is history. Let's just say I started in this industry on DVCAM tapes and now we're able to edit remotely from a cloud.

Recently, I've be lucky enough to land several voiceovers. Some of them even aired!

Outside of work, you can find me pal-ing around with my rescue dog Ruby, baking, wine-tasting, singing karaoke, or Iiving out my truth as a Los Angeles cliche by writing a screenplay I will probably never finish. But if anybody asks, it's in development.
